This year, we had planned for a family vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. With the stay at home orders, we canceled our reservations and decided to go camping closer to home instead.
I’m excited to share one of my favorite camping locations in Southwestern Wisconsin which I found at a remote campground in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, only accessible by hiking or biking at Blue Mounds State Park (there is a handcart) 😆.
The bike in campground at Blue Mounds State Park in Wisconsin is accessible off the first campground loop near site 8E which joins to the Military Ridge Trail, then just down the hill.
The weekend before the trip, I purchased a 1973 Boy Scout trailer which we used to haul my fat tire e-trike, my boys’ bikes and our camping gear.
Our camping vacation also took us to Peck’s Landing, on the Wisconsin River in Spring Green, WI and across the river to Tower Hills State Park. We also ventured home to do laundry, shower and visit our local pool! Here’s a few photos from our camping adventures.

Thank you for posting pictures, Matt. Jon has been pestering me with questions ever since I mentioned you acquired a toy hauler. Lol. We should camp together at my folks’ sometime.
